DESCRIPTION

Exhibition curated by Fertile Ground (Rachel Grant), 2018, Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen. Featured work by Alison Scott & Yvette Bathgate.  

The exhibition  sat within the context of the plans for a new waste incinerator plant in Torry, Aberdeen. Burning Questions included the work Paper for Objections, riso-printed  ‘water marked ‘ paper for a letter writing station to object to the plans. A text based work drew on archives of environmental activism in Aberdeen, placing the action within a long history of social and climate justice movements.

Interviews with community members were available to listen to.
